My name is Malgorzata (Margaret) Lisowska and I am an Innovation Architect.

Innovation Architect. Building value.

In 2011 I created a notion and at the same time a job position called a Brand Architect. Since then I’ve been an solopreneur, building brands and working as an independent consultant. In 2016 I decided to go ahead with my career in China. The Chinese market led me in the direction of innovation and taught me new competences in this regard. Hence, I supplemented building brands with the knowledge of building innovation area. I’ve been living and working in Shanghai for 3 years.

What I do:

  • advise on building innovation, brands and strategies,
  • support teams in process designing and improvement,
  • commercialize ideas,
  • trainings regarding building innovation and brands.

I am a bridge between the two worlds

I believe, that to create groundbreaking solutions we need the competences of our right and left hemispheres, that is, the connection of the logical and analytical world with the creative one. This is why I have defined myself as a bridge of cooperation and connection between these two worlds. Between analytics and creativity, corporate and agency worlds, between marketing and sales departments, the world of art and the world of business. I connect seemingly distant worlds, as only through the connection and cooperation of two different perspectives the magic is born. I think that the right and left hemispheres are like yin and yang. One does not exist without the other one and the element of one finds itself in the other, giving an absolutely different perspective. Distinction and breakdowns are not possible. One does not function without the other one.

I connect the world of art and business

I am the author of the educational program ‘bizneSztuka (art&business) – we build bridges (bizneSztuka.pl). So far we have had two editions of the project (2016 and 2017).
In 2018 I have changed the project to a training for companies that want to:

  • build the innovation culture of an organization,
  • unblock and develop their employees’ creativity
  • create and implement innovative solutions.

More than 13 years of experience:

  • In 2007 I started my professional career in the managerial program “probably the best” in Carlsberg Poland, during which I worked in several departments of the company. I got to know the functioning of a company by participating in various cross-departmental projects which taught me a wider perception of business. The first brand I got to manage was Piast, from Carlsberg Poland group.
  • In 2009 I prepared the Kasztelan Niepasteryzowne brand for the nationwide expansion and I managed it till it became one of the TOP 10 leading beer brands (value shares) in 2010, in just a few months since its launch. I managed the brand till May, 2011.
  • In 2011 I successfully managed the process of re-launching the Frugo brand.
  • Later, I worked as a strategist for an advertising agency.
  • In 2011 I created a notion and a job position of a Brand Architect. Since that time I have been working as an independent consultant, specializing in building new brands as well as those already existing on the market.
  • In 2016 I decided to go ahead with my career in Shanghai, China. I have been living in Shanghai for 3 years.
  • In 2018 I extended my activity by building innovation and changed the name of my job position to Innovation Architect.

Brand Architect. We teach how to build strong brands. Postgraduate studies

In 2011 as the first person in Poland I defined the competences of a person, building a brand within the structures of a company. Based on them I created a program of postgraduate studies. In 2012 I launched the first edition of my proprietary postgraduate studies Brand Architect – we teach how to build strong brands. 18 practitioners and experts in marketing share their knowledge on this faculty. So far we have had four editions of the program, which have added to popularization of the notion Brand Architect in Poland. Postgraduate studies take place in cooperation with the Center of Postgraduate Education, Lazarski University. IV editions of the studies were completed (2012-2013 / 2013-2014 / 2015-2016 / 2016-2017).

Leadership in practice

  • Since 2007 I have been associated with Toastmasters International. Awarded the Leadership Excellence Award twice. In 2014-2015 I served as an Area Governor (District 95, Area J2). My task was to develop and strengthen the organization and competence of Toastmasters Clubs in Warsaw, Lublin and Bialystok. Six out of nine clubs in my Area were awarded the highest performance recognition: President’s Distinguished Club award. During my term, with my team, we built three new clubs. I have also integrated all Warsaw clubs’ societies.
  • In 2015, as the seventh person in the country (over 20 years’ existence of the organization in Poland) I gained the title of the Distinguished Toastmaster. It is a certificate of outstanding communication and leadership skills.
  • Over the years, I contributed notably to the development of the organization in Poland, for which I was awarded the title of an Outstanding Toastmaster in 2015.
  • In 2014 I was chosen as a mentee to the Mentoring & Innovation Leadership Program for Polish Women Entrepreneurs by the Vital Voices Poland organization. Thus, I joined the ranks of prominent Polish managers. Vital Voices was founded by Hillary Clinton and Madeleine Albright.

Education. Continuous improvement

I like to learn new things. Continuous improvement gives me a lot of good energy. I have completed many courses and trainings and I am constantly in the process of being engaged in yet another kind of trainings or studies. The most important ones are:

In my spare time I develop my creativity

My passions, in which I invest the most, are education, art and travel. Journeys, those remote ones and those deep into myself. Always and everywhere. Inter alia I have been to Mongolia, New Zealand, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, Vietnam, India, Kenya, Cuba and many other countries.
The source of my creativity is:

Art, which evokes emotions,
Education, which helps me develop,
Journeys, which show me a different perspective.

I have a pilot’s license for a paraglide (2009). Record flight 60 km (cross-country flying) in the Julian Alps on the Skywalk Tequila 3 wing. I have a sailing license (2001).
